I know how to do it, that’s not the issue. People actually hire me frequently to upgrade their WordPress installation. It’s just such a process: back up your database, back up your web files, upgrade your plugins, upload the new files, visit your site and pray everything isn’t all messed up. It’s lots easier and less pressure when it’s not my own site I’m working on! Well I’m happy to announce that I’ve upgraded Simply-Basic to version 2.6 of WordPress. The installation was painless and everything still works! There were some pretty hefty upgrades in 2.6, but compared to 2.5 it seems like their quite minor! Everyone should get upgraded to get the latest security fixes. I’m sure you’ll be able to do it as painlessly as I did! But if you’re worried about it, hire me to do it for you.              |
